Variant feasibility study for WtE unit in Písek

The subject of the study was the collection of data and input data, their evaluation and technical description of the solution for energy utilisation of mixed municipal waste in the city of Písek. The WtE unit on the site of the Písek heating plant was designed in two variants - with a hot water boiler with a processing capacity of 10 kt/year and with a steam boiler with a capacity of 16 kt/year. The solution included dry flue gas cleaning. The study also summarised the relevant legislation, balance calculations and parameters of the WtE unit.
