Thermo-oil heat utilisation system

Within the project of modernisation of the sludge incinerator of Slovnaft, a.s. a system for utilisation of flue gas heat for heating of thermo-oil was designed and delivered. The heated thermo-oil is used in the incinerator's own technology for preheating the combustion air of the floor furnace, the secondary combustion chamber and preheating other technological streams.

The system included a specially designed flue gas/thermo-oil exchanger, a combustion air preheater, a process steam superheater, transport air/thermo oil exchangers and two thermal oil heat exchangers. The heat utilisation represented a major saving in terms of operating costs and extended the achievable operating time fund.
