Study on the optimisation of support for biomass energy production

Within the framework of the State Programme for the Promotion of Energy Savings and Use of Renewable Energy Sources for 2010, a study was prepared to optimize the amount of support for electricity produced from biomass to reduce the impact on the price of electricity for consumers.

The subject of the study was to develop an estimate of the energy potential in the territory of the Czech Republic, an evaluation of technologies for the use of biomass in terms of achievable efficiency, a recommendation of scenarios in terms of contribution to the fulfilment of the NAP (National Action Plan) objectives, an analysis of the economics of selected projects and the support mechanism.
