The project involved a feasibility study focused on the efficient management of hospital waste at Felege Hiwot Hospital in Ethiopia, particularly on the environmental and socio-economic aspects and the possibility of energy utilisation. Given the low level of waste management in the hospital, a solution in the form of an EVECONT containerised incinerator was proposed to safely dispose of both municipal and hazardous wastes, as well as their energy utilisation. Produced heat can be used directly in the hospital for water heating, laundry, sterilization or sanitary facilities of the hospital buildings.
