A feasibility study for a waste-to-energy plant with a planned annual capacity of 10-20 kt/year was prepared for the Varnsdorf heating plant. The study focused mainly on the evaluation of the possibilities of the site for the construction of a WtE unit, determination of the maximum capacity according to the heat consumption, introduction to the legislation, design of the technological solution of the WtE unit and flue gas cleaning, flow diagram of the technology, expert estimation of investment and flow costs and economic evaluation.
