A technology based on a semi-dry cleaning method was designed for the cleaning of waste gases from a furnace for firing clutch lining. SO2 reduction is achieved by dosing lime slurry. The captured sorbent is subsequently dosed back into the reactor, thus optimally exploiting the desulphurisation potential of the slurry. To control the operation, the technology has been supplemented with its own control system and emission monitoring system.
The turnkey delivery of the technology included comprehensive engineering and contracting activities as well as related services such as authoring and technical supervision, training, testing and commissioning.
