Over the last three years, we have been working hard on the complex turnkey reconstruction of the sludge incinerator at MCHB Slovnaft WWTP. And today we can finally boast of its successful completion!
And what have we accomplished in these three years?
We refurbished the existing stage A line, including new piping routes for the dosing of waste sludge to the 1st and 3rd stage of the furnace, installed a new start-up burner, supplied and installed a two-pass afterburner chamber and a heat recovery system via the heat exchanger tower. The refurbishment also included the supply and installation of a new bulk storage and transport system (ash) and a new more efficient flue fan. At the same time, we upgraded the existing control system, including new visualization at the operator's station.
As a result, the capacity of the plant has been increased to up to 5,700 t/year of dewatered industrial sludge and the total output of the newly installed heat recovery system is 4.5 MW.
